If you like Irish Cream, you will love this one. This recipe is the final result of several attempts to get the perfect balance of taste and creaminess. I think you will agree that this drink is not heavy, but it still has that creamy texture that you want. I make this around the holidays because it makes a great alternative to bringing a bottle of wine to someone’s house (especially when they are not wine drinkers). It has always been well received. It is a great after dinner/dessert drink.
1 – 12 oz. can of evaporated milk
1 – 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 – cup heavy cream
2 – tbls. chocolate syrup
1 – tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 – tsp. honey
1/4 – cup Kahlua (or any coffee liqueur)
1 1/4 – cups whiskey
Put all ingredients into a blender and mix well. Do not over blend. It should take less than one minute.
Bottle and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Shake well before serving, and pour over ice.
